MELBOURNE. The Legislative Council has resolved that it is desirable that the Parliament should entertain his Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, "and the Assembly unanimously coincided with the resolution, and added the Treasurer and Captain M'Mahon to the Refresh-ment-rooms Committee, m order that every necessary arrangement might be made. We believe it is intended that, if possible, the banquet shall take place m the Legislative Council Chamber, m which case ladies will, m all probability, be admitted to the galleries. In anticipation of his Royal Highness' visit, decorations and illumination devices are being improvised on every side.
