CHRISTCHURCH.
Wednesday, 5 p.m. Telegraphic communication with Hoki tika is restored. All hope of Dobson is abandoned. It is I believed that he has been murdered and buried. Search parties are still out. Mr Dobson, senior, returned from the Grey to Hokitika last night. Four men on the way from the Wai-
kamarina to Nelson, who were known to have gold with them, are missing. The police have started to look for them. Captain Morgan and daughter met with an accident at the Waimakariri bridge, by the horse bolting and smashing the vehicle. The occupants were thrown upon the ground, and Captain Morgan had his collar-bone broken, whilst Miss Morgan was severely brnised about the head. Weather magnificent.
