' IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," and of another Act ot the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled, "The Provincial Elections Act, isr>B," I, Frederick William Teschemaker, Retnrainjr Officer for the Electoral District of Mount Cook, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 7th day of May, 1800, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of Now Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council of Canterbury for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at Mr. Teschemaker's woolshed, Haldon Station, on Thursday, the sth day of July, 1806, at noon ; ancl that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on Saturday, the 7th day of July, 1806.
