TO HOLDERS OF DEPASTURING LICENSES. rpHE following clauses from the " Canterbury J- Waste Lands Act, 1864," are published for the information of holders of depasturing licenses within the province, of Canterbury. Clause 3. "If any holder of a depasturing license shall at any time before the first day of May 1866 give notice to the Waste Lands Board at Cliristcburch that he is desirous of holding his license subject to the fees provided by this Act shall have no effect with regard to any licenses m respect of which such notice shall not have been given before the said first day of May 1866." Clause 4. "The Annual fees to be paid m respect of any depasturing license held under the provisions of this Act shall be as follows : "From the first day of May 1866 until the first day of May 1873. For every run containing less than one thousand acres two pounds sterling for every hundred acres. For every run containing one thousand acres and less than five thousand acres one pound thirteen shillings and four pence sterling per hundred acres for the first thousand Acres and sixteen shillings and eight pence sterling for every hundred acres m addition. For every run containing five thousand acres or upwards twelve shillings and sixpence sterling for every hundred acres." "On and after the first day of May 1873 and until the first day of May 1880. . "For every ran containing less than one thousand acres three pounds lout shillings sterling for every hundred acres. "For every run containing one thousand acres and less than five thousand acres two pounds and thirteen shillings and four pence sterling per hundred acres for the first one thousand acres and one pound six shillings and eight pence sterling for every hundred acres m addition."
