Miscellaneous. ELECTION NOTICE. ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF TIMARU. TN Pursuance of the provisions of an Act of ■*• the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1558," also of another act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled "The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," I, Belfield Woollcombe, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Timaru, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ bearing date the fourth day of June, 1864, issued under the hand of his Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of a duly qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council of Canterbury for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate's Office at Timaru, on Thursday, the Seventeenth day of August, 1865 ; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Friday, the Eighteenth day of August, 1865.
