Mr. E. M. Smith, of ironsand fame, who is again in the field for the New Plymouth Beat as a supporter of the Government, said in the course of his address that on many occasions lie voted against the Governmet. when he foud they were in the wrong, In fact, if the Government had only taken his | advice they would not have got into half the scrapes they did. Had ho been allowed to formulate a policy for I them they would be in power for the next fifty years. .There could be no doubt about it—M. E. Standard.
