Runway Horse.
Some, excitement was caused in Grahamstown at an early hour yester clay afternoon by a horse attached to a spring cart owned by Mr. Causley stampeding. The animal was standing near Mr. Renshaw's shop in Owen street, when its blinkers, became disarranged'and caused'the' horse to bolt, j When; .turning round the' Bank corner the horse. fell and 'broke the pulleys, jwith the result that the cart was turned, with the shafts up in the. air. The animal:kept up its career until the cart Vas brought to a standstill by coming in contact and carrying away : Mr.. W. D. Reid's verandah posts at his shop in Pollen street, and also breaking a,plate of glass at Mr. Booth's shop. The animal then broke loose from the vehicle, but was soon captured, fortunately without any ; more damage) resulting.
