K.URANTJL Operations at this company's mine aro proceeding very satisfactorily under the management cf Mr T. H, Crawford. A slight improvement is now noticeable in the country being penetrated in the crosscut at the lower workings, while when breaking down the hangingwall portion of the reef yesterday afternoon some nice ruby silver and minerals were seen in tne quartz, It is just probable now that an improved class of country has been met with that the lode will be more defined and improve in quality as driven upon. I'he reef is sft wide and is said to be looking better now than it has since driving was commenced upon it. MINING AT GUMTOWN.
