TURUA, Nov. 25. Mr. Moss addressed the> electors in the Victoria Hall last night. ..

Mr. L. J. Bngnall was in the chair.

The audience, which was a large one, frequently applauded the speaker.

Several questions were asked and satisfactorily answered.

A hearty vote of thanks to Mr. Mosb for his able address was proposed by Mr. W. H. Bagnall, seconded by Mr. McMillan, and carried . unanimously. A vote of thanks to the chairman terminated the proceedings.

Mr James McGowan wasyrs'erday nominated as a candidate, for. the representation of the Thames electoral district. His nominators were Mr s amuel James, ironmonger, Captain Francis Hodge, general mine manager, and Captain A. R. H. Swindley, agent, Coromandel, Messrs Allan Wilson, T. Barrett, and H. Roche, of Thames.
