AUCKLAND, Nov. 24,
■ The Wesleyan Synod passed a resolution adverse to Dr. Hoskings' candidature for Waikato. Dr. Hoskings 'to-day resigned his connection with the church to enable him to contest .the seat with a free hand.
Mr. E. G. B. Moss announces that he will address the electors at St. George's Schoolroom on Friday evening next, December I'.
! TORPEDO-BOATS. WASHINGTON, Nov. 23. i The British Naval Attache at Washington recommends the British Admiralty to act on the American Naval Board's recommendation in regard to the Holland torpedo-boats.
