Flower Show.

Those interested in the flora of New Zealand could not fail to be impressed with the excellence of the exhibit of native flowers at the Flower .Show at St. George's Hall. The value of our botanical treasures seems to be increasing, inasmuch as for the first time-since the prize for native flowers ' has-ibeen instituted there was in the best bouquete and collections a total absen.ee of all exotics. Mr. J. W. Hall recommends the cultivation of. all such indigenous plants as will readily grow in gardens—as the labor'of collecting must be enormous. As a further inducement to collect or cultivate he will, in future, give an additional prize of ss. for the second best , bouquet <and second best collection.
