George Frederick showed splendid form in the Maiden Stakes,; covering the last five furlongs'in lmin Sfaecs, Details ' Hurdles.—Nansen 1, Mystery 2,XF. 3. Seven others started. Won easily by four lengths. Time, 3mina 51£8ecs, : Maiden Stakes.—George Frederick I, Nitre 2, TheUndioe 3. Two others started. Betting: Even money Nitre, 3to 1 - George Frederick. Rounding the home turn The Undine assumed command, looking all over a winner, but George Frederick tackled her below the distance,'and won . easily by two lengths and ,a,half, Time, lmin 44Jsec3 Autumn Handicap.—Crimson 1, Wild Raven 2, Gunllo 3. Four others started. Betting: 4to 1 Gunllo, Bto 1 Crimson. Crimson led from start to finish, winning very easily by five lengths. Time, 2mins 50secs. : Champion Stakes. —. Bobadil l t Avalon 2, Lee Metford 3, Levar was the only other starter. Avalon held tho lead until full well into the straight, where Morrison shook the whip at Bobadil, with the result that he cleared right out from the others, winning amidst tremendous cheering by eight lengths. ' A desperate finish for second money between Avalon and Lee Metford resulted in the former squeezing home by half a length, with Levar a dozen lengths away. Time, smin 52£secs, The time limit being exceeded by' 7jiecs, the added money will be reduced by half. Nursery Handicap.—Promontory 1, Chesney 2, Grizzle 3. Four others started. Time, lmin 30£secs. Rivar Handioap,—Heretic 1, Alemene 2, Carbineer 3.Seven others started. Heretic came with a beaut 1 - fully timed run, and won 'by a leng h and a half. Tim?. 2min 9£aecs.
