■■'■'■' IbAboha, Maroh 7. On Thursday the marriage of Mr A. J. Leach and Miss Pritchard-took place at the residence of Mr Shepherd Allen, Annandale. The ceremony was performed at one o'clock by Dr. Hosking,. D.D., /of Hamilton,; The bride, who was given away by. Mr Allen, was. attired in a very handsome dress of pale green'rnaterial, trimmed with white satin ribbon, white tulle, and beaded passmenterie,' over which fell a veil fastened with a wreath of orange blossoms. Miss "Esther Allen, who was dressed in a oreme colored merino, relieved by a tartan plaid sash, acted as bridesmaid, while her brother,., Mr ; iK. J 0.- Allen; performed the duties o! best man. After the ceremony > siimptuous'bfeakfast was provided; jo which' twenty«nine guests Bat down.-The healths'of the bride and bridegroom were proposed by M r Allen, .Dr. Hosking proposing that of the bridesmaid. The bridegroom and best mati replied M these 'toasts, and the party .separated. Mr and Mrs Leach left by the, afternoon train for tho Thames, amid,a'plentiful'shower of rice,, scattered by those friends who were assembled to see them off. Mr Leach has ; been a member of. the Wealeyan Church here for some years,, and is a most acceptable local preacher among that body.
