Commenting'at the Supreme Court yesterday on the affairs of a bankrupt who earned 25s a week and lost over £400 in a.mining speculation, His Honor Mr Justice Conolly said it was nothing more than gambling and it was just as if the money had been lost on the totalisator. The judge suspended the order of discharge for 12 months; and intimated that had it not been that the creditors had recommended the bankrupt's discharge he would have refused it- altogether.
