TALISMAN.

This company has for some time (writes the Star's correspondent) been pushing ahead with development work with the object of opening up their mine in the Bonanza section, which lies to the south of the Talisman claim. A considerable amount of prospecting was done here under the direction of Mr Golds.worfchy, who discovered the outorop of a lode which from its situation and the character of the stone he deemed must be the continuation of the Talisman lode. This outcrop was traced to the end of the claim nearest the Talisman, and a cross out was then started from the No. 4 level southward for the purpose of intersecting this reef. The lode was met at the anticipated point and has now been driven on southward 58ft, showing a compact, well defined body of stone about 3ft wide, and carrying a payable percentage of bullion. are available on the lode at the point 1 of its intersection, whilst somo dis- 1 tance southward the backs increase ' to about 600 feet.
