EXCELLENT PROSPECTS.
Tho rich auriferous reef of tho celebrated Hauraki mino was met with in tho 230 ft level, in a chamber which was being excavated as an opening for operations. Tho vein was about two inchos thick and has showod no gold sinco driven on. It has opened to a width of nine inches, and although it does not yofc show gold it is beeauso tho rich run has not been reachod. Tho two winzoH iu progress from tho 160 ft lovol; at distances of 00 foot and 100 foot from the shaft, aro carrying down rich gold, and indications point, to tho fact that the now blocks between the 200 ft aud 100 ft levels will provo very rich.
