FOOTBALL.
_ three matches are set down for de- ! cision to-day, viz. :-Turua v. Hovers, Pirates v. Eovers 11, and Thames HI. t. Hovers IH. The senior match should prove very interesting, as since their contest with Thames a fortnight ago 'luriia are reported to.have considerably 'strengthened their team, and as Hovers are, also placing a,strong fifteen in the field, a big fight may be expected. T he. other matches should also give rise to keen contests, and as players have now. had a little practice together, a better exposition of Eiigby should be witnessed. The following are the Hover teams, neither Turua nor Pirates teams Having come to hand:-
Hovers.-Full-back: S, Dufty; threequarters: Lloyd, Koefoed, Murphy j halves: Paul and Johns; forwards: J). Stewart, Williams, Tea,' Wilson, S. Smith, Maxwell, Cooper, Alexander, Billing. " ■ .
Rover 11. — Pull-back : Newdick ; three-quarters: Loram, Landy, Callah; halves: Kenny, W. Smith, C. Billing; forwards: P. Billing, Whelan, J. Two. hill, Cameron, flill,O'Brien, M.Burns, T.Smith.
