Imprest Supply Bill has passed all its stages. The Hamilton Domnins Empowering Bill {Hon. Mr Uadmau) was read a firefi time- • A long discussion ensued to-day on the regulations regarding the Oruri tvoolshed station, Mr Kelly objecting to the manager being the sole authority, as ' to whether sheep must be shorn, Several members stated that it was ngainst the interest of owners to shear Trefc sheep. In the course of the discussion, some of the speakers thought that amendments should be made ..in the Workmen's Wagee Act, so that the wages could not • be withheld from the men if lo shear wet sheep, It was chat owners of property wilil not deliberately compel men to shear sheep .vhicli were in a wet condition. The question, dropped without anything further being done, and Mr Kelly'smotion for the adjournment of the House was lost. Kegardingf the shearing of she.ep and the paymeut of shearers, ife was stated that Government would sider the advisability of amending tilje x : Workmen's Wages Act so that it wonlfl be. compulsory for shearers to be pai(F~" once a week."
