Sydney, October 11: A long-sentence prisoner in Goulburn gaol named Sterling, a tailor by trade, who was engaged making warders' uniforms, yesterday managed unperceived to put on one of the uniforms and to place on his lip a falso moustache made from a brush. Ho tlien mounted the gaol messenger's horse and rodo to the entrance gate, where he asked tho warders to let him out. 'He was recoguiscd,' however, seized, and taken back to his cell. ■
