Tub Knigh's of Labour have passed tho. following resolutions: " That this assetna bly views with alarm the influx of Chinese traders and workor6 into the Wairarapa, and that in the interests of tho working men of New Zealand it considers it undesirable to encourage Chinese traders or workers of any description, and this assembly would ask the assistance and co» operation of sister assemblies, and friends of labour gonerally, in urging upon the Government the necessity of increasing the poll tax on all Chinese entering the qolo >y from iBIO *o £100," -.
