■ 0 " ■ CORONER'S INQUEST. WILFUL MURDER RETURNED AGAINST MUNRO; (SPKOIAIi TO ADVERTISER.) Auckland, February i\, A coroner's inquest was held at Tam ranga this morning on the bodies of George Munro, John Munro, Alexander Munro, and Lilian Munro, who was [killed by their father Duncan Munro on Tuesday morning.

Ihe evidence adduced' was similar in nature to the details telegraphed to you last night, . ' "

It was shown that the father slept m the back bedroom by himself on Monday night, and he must have got up towards daylight on Tuesday morning, and seizing the*flat iron started' on his murderous mission. • All the child-Victims were attacked in bed, and inraeeame way, in fact the baby had evidently been struck unconscious at once, as when found it was lying quite peacefully with its head on its right haud as if struck down there and then whilst sleeping. • Mrs Munro appears to have got up, as she had a chemise and petticoat on, and had evidently rushed out of the room either to escape the maniac or else to protect one of her infants.

Without retiring the jury, returned a verdict of " wilful murder" against Munro, and added a rider to the "effect that ho should never have been let out of the a3ylum, and that he had not been , properly looked after by his family, The latest news from Tauranga re. gardjng Mrs Munro states'that she is still in a very. critical condition,
