Although this '"wheel did its duty as well as could ba expected, preference must be given to the Pelton. Formerly the drop of the stampers' I did not exceed sixty blows per minute whereas the Pelton gives an average of from 75 to 80 drops with the valve only partially open. It is in oontomplation to oonnect auother 10 stampers (making 30 in all), which the wheel is capable of driving Another small pelton is now in course of erection to drive the whole of the twenty bcrdans which it is expected will be ready in a few days. This wheel will be fixed at an elevation of 14ft above the door of the build-1 ing and the wastewater will be utilized to supply the tables ete, which will do away with the injector now in use. When completed the plant will compare in effecioncy with nny other on the field.
