WRECK OF AN AUCKLAND VESSEL.
Two Men Drowned(BY TELKORAP—PKHSS ASSOCIATION) Auckland, last night. The Auckland -Ketoh Zillah, whilst on a voyage from Taurangato Tryphena harbour, Great ■ Barrier Island, with stores ran on to the rocks' near Palmer's point, Great Barrier, at one o'clock oa Sunday morning, June 2nd, and went to pieces in seven minutes, A fierce south easterly gale was blowiug at the time, with heavy rain uqualls and thick mist, It is said that the master lost the reckonings thew were 5 men on board but % Master, John Sena, ai;d,mate Frank- Ensley who were uflaftje to awim were drowned, |he others McDonald, F, ftamsay and H. Good ' swam ' ashore and remained on the rooks until daylight wheg tliey looked for the bodies of the others but could find no tracc of them, the survivors were brought to Auckland j to night by the Chelmsford.
The Zillah was the property pf Bros, but was chartered a npith ago by the master ay,d Epatey, The vessel was valued; at ?bpu,tj £600, but was. not insured,
