HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. [13Y 'fELHGKAPH~PBt!SS ASSOCIATION. | Wellington, last night. The House met at 2.30 p.m. SUPPRESSION OF DISORDERLY HOUSES. Mr Fergus introduced the " Disorderly Houses Suppression Bill." OTAGO CENTRAL RAILWAY BILL. DISCUSSION ADJOURNED. Mr Pyke asked that the further consideration of the Otago Central Railway Bill be postponed till to-morrow night at 7.30, in order that proposals might be made which would probably meet with the unanimous support of the House.
The Premier had no objection to tho adjournment. A lengthy discussion followed, aftor which Sir H. Atkinson said it had been represented to the Government that if the Bill wcra proceeded ,- ;ith stonewalling would bo continued, • iieroas if an adjournment till next day were agreed to, proposals would be ...submitted which would probably meet with the approval of the House, He hoped such a reasonable request- would be agreed to, so that tho Government might proceed with sonie other business, Tho motion for reporting progress was then carried on the voices,
