MIMIN TELEGENCE.

Auckland. — On account of crushing operations which are now going on for tliis company the rise on the big reef from the crosscut has stopped, but will he continued as soon as the men can be spared to go on with it. The drive in tho No 2 leader is now in about 33 feet, and is in very nice .sandstone country. The leader is about a foot wide, and shows gold freely, There are three stopes being beaten along over tho drive on the same lead. Here the lend is about 18 inches having junctioned with a crosß lead'. Strong colors of gold are seen at every breaking down in all three slopes, but the gold seems to be getting of a coarse nature towards the leading slope. Twenty loads of dirt Imve together with the 120lbs of picked s:one, been forwarded'to the Golden Crown battery, and will be finished in the course of to-day or to morrow. There remain about ten loads in the paddock, but it will not be sent down yet, Adedaide.—Stoping is going; on as usual on the Adelaide leader. Prom wall to wall there is about 3 or 4ft of stuff, but there is a large horse of mullock, with about 9 inches of quartz on each side, making in all about 18 inches'of crushing dirt. It carries nioe minerals and shows gold occasionally when breaking down, Enterprise.—Tho drive is now penetrating through a hard belt of blue rock, which renders progress very slow. They are not up to the shoe mentioned in our last report, but judging from the distance it is off in the upper level, it should not take much more driving to bring them un to it.

Triumph.—The President Lincoln reef has been cut in the low level drive which is now in 60 feet. Some thirteen feet has been driven on the reef, and it looks very promising although it has not quite recovered from the effects of the mud slide which it lias just passed through, The ground is rather blocking, but otherwise it is of a kindly nature for gold. There are 20 loads of quartz on hand which is expected to be got down to the mill in a week's time, or as soon as the sledge track which is now being cut from the Karaka road is completed. :

City op Manchester—A crushing for Cleave and party tributers in tbis claim is now going on at Bull's battery. ' There is about 25 loads going through. Karanqahakb (Railey's new plant).— Mr Railey yesterday banked two lots of retorted gold, one of 190ozs and the other 19oss from the crushing of the Sutro company's ore. This in melt'ng was reduced ts a bar weighing 1240zs lldwts.

Kuranui Hill.— Dabb and party yesterday banked the good return of 61o'zs 3dwts from their crushing, Thomas and party, tributes, who recently,cut a reef, and obtained a nice parcel of stone weighing about 14 pounds, which they had crushed yesterday for the good return of 17ozs 12dwts retorted gold
