THE THAMES "HARBOUR BOARD EMPOWERING- BILL, 1885, NOTICE is hereby given, that a Local Bill will be introduced into tbe General Assembly at Wellington, at its next sitting to be entitled " The Thames Harbor Board Empowering Act, 1585." By the said Bill it is intended to empower the Thames Harbor Board with the consent of the ratepayers, to borrow any sum of money not exceeding in the whole the sum of Two Hundred Thousand pounds, for the several, purposes .specified in the first schedule' to the said- Bill, also to empower the said Board to let or lease any portion of the Thames foreshore, 1 also to vest in' the Boardasan endowment, a portion of the Piako block, containing ninety thousand acres more or less, as described in the third Schedule to the said Bill; also power for the Board to create a Rating District and levy a rate therein, annually to pay interest on moneys borrowed, aud provide a sinking fund to repay loans. A Copy of the said Bill and a plan _ of; the land to be affected thereby are deposited in the Resideut Magistrates Court, at Thames, and such Bill will, at the expiration of three weeks from the date thereof, be forwarded to the Clerk oj the House of Representatives, at Wellington.
