COURT.—Y ESTEBDAY. Before 11. Keheick, lisy., 11. M. JUDGMENTS FOR PLUNTIPFS. In the following casos judgment; was given for plaintiffs "-Gillon v. Lymburn, claim £17 10s, costs £2 2s; Adcock v. Potts, claim £8 7 2d, for meat supplied four years ngn, ensts Bs. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. Hansen v. Webb.—Claim £20 16s.— The defendant, sworn, said that he had no money to pay the judgment. Ho had only received £2 2s 6d since judgment was given, Ho had been gum digging, but had no gum ou hand at the present time.—No order made. Wilson and Co. v. J. Green.—Claim, £5 13s 6d.—Mr Miller appeared for the plaintiffs.—,T, Green deposed that he had not paid Mr Deeble auy money. Mr Deeble took payment out of his (defendants) dividend. Tho sum taken by Mr Deeble was about £19, Mr Deeble had no judgment against him. Mr Deeble was one of the tributers with him, and he stopped his share without his consent, He had transferred his share to Mr Deeble in security for money (he) defendant owed him. He held one sixth of a tribute in the Moanataiari. He had received about £24 from tho mine, but this had been kept by Mr Comer for payment for money lent. The case was adjourned to nest Court the 2nd of April. ' ADJOURNED CASES, McLean (Deputy Lands Commissioner) v. Keily.—Defendant allowed costs. Same v, Murdock,—Costs allowed to defendant. DEFENDED CASES. Col. Ueasek v. Thos. Cumjiings,™ Claim, £10 7s 6d, amount of promissory note given by defendant in favour of Win McLaughlin.™Mr Brassey appeared for defendant,—Col. Eraser deposed that he had received the note from McLaughlin in security of his over draft at the Bank for which he (Colonel Eraser) was guarantee.—Defendant stated that he had paid £3 to Mr Murray, and £7 to Mrs McLaughlin,—His Worship held that lh<i plaintiff was not the holder of the note for value, but as tho note was for £10 7s 6d, he vvould give judgment for the 7s Od, holding that the defendant had paid £10 on account of it.—Judgment therefore was given for 7s 6d, and £13s costs.
