Sydney, Monday. ! THE AUSTRALIANS BEATEN BY THE ' NEW SOUTH WALES TEAM, The Government liave decided to | take the exhibition into their own - hands. The aspect of the seamen's strike is still unchanged. Sailed: The s.s. ' Hero,' for Auckland. The Australians' second innings was 251. The Sydney Fifteen won in first innings and 19 runs. Bailey and Spofforfch did not play with the latter all through. The former is progressing favourably. A public banquet will be given to the cricketers to-night. The Governor will be present. It is stated that the A.S.N, Company have telegraphed to China for seamen. The Auckland-built yacht 'Waitangi' held a good position in the yacht race, when she met with an accident to her boom. The Sydney seamen refused to accept the final proposal of the A.S.N. Company.
