THE TAIRUA GOLDFIELD.

The block of ground from which the late crushing was taken, is nowfinished to the surface, the surface deposit having been much deeper than was antipipaVted.. The amount of payable ground : now taken out, is over 200 feet on, the line of reef, but the richest stono : ovideatly : 'camb out of the main diive, and'as the'reef going downwards appears bettor defined, I think there is every prospect of the ftext. level proving superior to the present one.
