THE EIGHT TO VOTE.
To the Editor of tho THAMESSADVERTI9ER,
Sib,"ln the absence of some one else, I beg to warn tliose persons who have not paid their rates, that by Acfc paased last session they will be disfranchised by the simple neglect to pay up their rates. Any person doubting the same will be convinced by looting at the Act, or asking the meaning of the rate collectors having to make up the lists at the end of this month of those who have paid.—l remain, yours, . A Cihzen. [Our correspondent is not altogether correct. Those who do not pay their rates, and who are not already on the roll, will not be put on if they are defaulters. Men who pay up their rates who are not already electors will be placed upon the roll without further tfouble.—Ed. T.A.]
