Warden's Office, Mackaytown, Bth March, 1876. APPLICATION lias been made by John CAIOTR for owners of the Hercules Claim for License to construct a Water Race for reining purposes, commencing at a point on the first main creek eastward of McKay's Agricultural Lease, and terminating at a point on the Hercules Claim, receiving in its course all water from intervening creeks, as shown on plan. The length of such Race is half a-foile or thereabouts, and its intended course is westerly. Hhe mean breadth and depth of such Race is two feet by eighteen inches. It is capable of carrying four sluice-heads of water, and the number of sluice-heads it is intended to appropriate is four. NOTICE is therefore given that on the 7th day of April, 1876, a License will be granted to the above-named John Calder for the flercnles Claim for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date. The proposed height of the said dam is ten feet. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the eleventh day of April, 1876, a License may be granted to the above named Ajax Gold Mining Company, Limited, for the said dam, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this office nol less than seven clear days before that date.
