Datkis for permission to Construct a Water Race for mining purposes commencing at a point marked D on a branch of JS'eevcs'Creek, east of Jackson's Store, and terminating at a point about Two hundred yards below the Tairua Company's machine site. Tho length of such Race is Six hundred yards, or thereabouts, and its intended course is northward and westward. The mean depth and breadth of such Pace is three feet by two .feet, and it is capable of carrying Two sluiceheads of wa'er; and the number of sluice heads it is intended to appropriate, is Two, of forty inches each, and the land required is six feet on each side of the said Race. NOTICE is therefore given, that an the 2Glh day of October, 1875, a license may be granted to the said Francis Daykin for the above-described Water Race, unless valid objection be in the meantime made in wiiting and lodged at this office not less than seven I clear days before that data | W.
