APPLICATION has been made by Walter Sully - for the Tairua Gold Mining Company), Limited, for permission to Construct a Water Race for mining purposes, commencing at apoint about eight hundred yards southward of Bceche's first application and to includo two intervening streams, and terminating nearly opposite Jackson's store. The length of such Race is eight hundred yards, or thereabouts, and its inlesded course is northward. The mean depth and breadth of such Racc is three feet by two feet, and it is capable of carrying Two. sluice-heads of water; and the .number of sluice-heads of forty inches each which it is intended to appropriate is Two, and the land required for the said race is thirtythree feet on each side of the centre thereof. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 12th day of October, 1875, a License may bo granfed to the said Tairua Gold Mining Company (Limited) for the above-described Water Race, unless valid objection be in the 'meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office, not less thau seven clear days before that dato. T. fx Wildjuh for Taiuu Gold Mining Company, Limited, for permission to Construct a Water Race for mining purposes commencing at a point indicated by a peg marked T, about two hundred yards south-west of Tnirun, Company's battery, and terminating at the Tairua Company's No. 1 race. The length of Race is two hundred yards, or thereabouts, and its intended course is east and west.
