Warden's Office, Thames, 6lh September, 1875, APPLICATION has been made by Walter Suliy for .the Taitua Gold Mining Company), Limited, for permission to Construct a Water -Race for mining purposes, commencing at apoint about eight hundred yards southward of Beeche's first application i and to include two intervening streams, and I terminating nearly opposite Jackson's store, The 'length of tuch Race is eight hundred yards,' or thereabouts, an<)|its intended course is northward. •' The mean depth and breadth of such Raco is three feet by two feet, and it is capable of carrying Two sluice-heads of water; and the number of sluice-heads of forty inches each which it is intended to appropriate is Two, and the land required for the said raco is thirtythree feet on each side.of the centre thereof. WiiDMAN for Tairua Gold Mining Company, Limited, for permission to Construct a Water Race for mining purposes commencing at a point indicated by a peg marked T, about two hundred yards south-west of Tairua Company's battery, and terminating at the Tairua Company's No. 1 race. The length of Race is two hundred yards, or thereabouts, and its intended course is east and west. The mean depth and
