Tlio ship ' Alumbagh' arrived to-day. Sho brings nearly 400 immigrants, all well, with tho exception of threo in tlio hospital. Fourteen children and two adults died on tho passage. Capt. Lowo is in command, and Dr Warren, surgeon, formerly of tho 'Jamos Wishart.' Tho ship canio up tho harbour at oneo, and tho health ofßcors, after examination gavo hor a clean bill. On Juno 21th tho .following appears, in.the log:—'* At 10 o'clock sighted a dismasted ship to 8.E.; passed closed under:her stern, of iron, of 1,200 or 1,400 tons, totally dismasted, very light,...ovidontly heon abandoned; passed sufficiently eloso to mako suro that 'llro was causo of casualty j stern was too much charred to mako out her nnmo j position, Mat, 26,29 8.,10ng.31.18W." ; A letter in tlio Cross and'#craM signed " Arthur Leary," rolerring to i man's leg being oaten by'dogs, proved l( bo a hoax. A lunatic, named Peter Stono, who ucsertcd from llio 'Maegregor/ was caught at llivcrhond last evening. Ho was committed to tko Wkau to-day. Arrived: 'Wild Ware,' brig, from Sydney, and tko s.s. 'Tnrannki,'from tko South.
