Tho polico went to his residence and took him into custody. Ho had since been examined by Dr Fox, who was unable to detect any signs of insanity in him, and, under thoso circumstances, ho (Mr Bullcn) lmd no alternative but to ask to have him discharged.—Ho was discharged, Chimney on Fibe.—Daniel H, Bayldon was charged with allowing tho chimney of his house, in Pollen-street, lo lake firo on tho 17th inst.—- Ho was fined 10s and costs.

Tho defendant paid that tho lamp hod just gone out as ho turned tho corner, and ho at onco got down and lighted it up, Ho was cautioned, and fined Is and costs.
