The attention of Executors, Administrators, Legatees, and Successors, is called to the provisions of "The Stamp Duties Act, 1866,' which require:— 1. That Executors and Administrators shall in the case of all legacies, annuities, or residues paid by them, furnish to the Stamp Office full accounts of such payments, and shall pay the duty assessed thereon within sixty days thereafter ; and in the case of legacies, annuities, or residues retained in trust, shall before any Buch retainer furnish to the Commissioners full particulars thereof, and shall pay the duty assessed thereon within fourteen days of such assessment; and shall furnish accounts of all successions under any will or estate executed or administered by them, so soon as the successor shall bec:me beneficiary entitled thereto. • 2. That Legatee? receiving legacies shall give receipts in the prescribed form, which leceipts must bear date on the day of signing, and must be brought to the Stamp Office to be stamped within sixty days thereafter, otherwise such receipts become invalid, 3. That every Successor to real or personal estate, as soon as he, or any other person in his behalf, shall become entitled thereto in possession, or to the receipt of the income and profit thereof, shall furnish to the Commissioners full and true accounts of the property succeeded to, with Ihe Barae of and their relationship to the predectssor, Cumu'ative penalties are imposed by the Act for neglect or delay in rendering such accounts, or paying the duty assessed.

APPLICATION TO POEM A WATEE.EACE. ■Warden's Office, Thames, April 28,1875. APPLICATION has been made by J. B. BEEOiEfor a LICENSE to Construct a Water Race for mining purposes, commencing at a point above the waterfall on the Creek eastward of the Prospectors' Claim, Tairua, and terminating at a point about two (2) miles below, as shown on plan lodged in Warden's Office. The length of such Race is two miles, or thereabout; and its intended course is about nortb. The mean depth and breadth of such Race is two feet by three feet; it is capable of carrying Five sluice-heads of waler, and the number of sluice-heads it is intended to appropriate is Five. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the Bth day of June, 1875, a License will be granted to the said Joun B. Bkuche for the above-described Water Race, unless valid objection be iu the meantime made in writing and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date. W. FRASER, • Warden.
