OHINEMURI.
fjHOH A COHBEBPONDENT.) Maokaytown, Wednesday. Mackaytown is at prcsont very dull. This afternoon tho shareholders in the prospectors' claim wore to havo a meeting for the purpose, it is said, of considering whether thoy should apply for protection for six months in order to get machinery erected. Ido not think they are likely to get what they ask, if they 1 do make the request. Nothing is boing done in No. 1 South pending the formation of the company. They must go to work, however, without fail on Friday week. The men who have come in from the Waitekauri appear to be in good spirits, and it is said that the claims alongside Leahy's are likely to turn out well.
