Government Notices. T HE following extract from the -New' Zealand General Government Gazette of the 9th April, 1875, is published for goaeral information. JAMES MACK AY, Jun., Agent General Government. Auckland, April 9,1872. A PROCLAMATION. NORMANBY, GOVERNOR. Whereas, by the Bth section of the Gold Mining Districts Act, 1873, it is among' other lungs enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor from time to time by proclamation in the General Government Gazette, to enlarge, contract, or otherwise alter the boundaries of Gold Mining Districts under the said Act, and whereas*'it is among other] things further enacted by the one hundred and eightyseventh section of the said Act, that every District constituted under the Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871, shall be deemed to be a District constituted under now existing Act; and whereas, under the provisions of the said Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871, .a certain District within the Province of Auckland, has been proclaimed " a Gold Mining District" under that Act, and designated under , the name of the Hauraki Gold Mining District, and the boundaries of such district have ;been enlarged under the authority of the said Act; and whereas it is. expedient further jto enlarge the boundaries of the said distiict;as at present constituted, now therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercising of every power [and authority enabling me in this behalf, do h'creby proclaim and declare that the Boundaries of the said Hauraki Gold Mining District [shall be and the same are hereby enlarged so as to include the land mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto. . SCHEDULE. The Block of Land known as Whenuakite, the Blook known as Purangi, the Block known as Te Puia, the Blook known as Te Hoho, the Block'known as Te Karo number one, the Block known as Te Karo number two, the Block known as Tairua, the Block known as Rangahau, the Block known as Kopowai, the Block known as Puketui, the Block known as Wharekawa'East number three, the Block known as Wharekawa East number one, the Block known as Whitipirorua, the Block known as Rautahanga; that portion of the Block known as Taparahi, Korongo, and Takatakaia not before included within the Hauraki Gold Mining District; and that portion of the Block known as Pakirarahi not before included within the Hauraki Gold. Mining District as the said Blocks arc more particularly described in the Plans lodged in the Inspector of Surveys Office at Auckland, excepting out of the Eaid Lands one thousand acres of Native Reserves in the Tairua Block, . Given under the hand of His Excellency the Most Honourable George Augustus Constantine,. Marquis of Normanby, Earl of Mulgrave, Viscount Nor- ; manby, and Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County of York, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the Peerage of Ireland; a member of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Com-mander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House at-Wellington, this eighth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-live.
