The Home News says:—ln our last we referred to the intention to make oui' colonies better known by means.of oral descriptions in the shape of lectures. We are now informed that these.lectures will be delivered under the auspices of the Lecture and Pres3 Bureau, of which,Mr Alsager, editor and proprietor of the Labour News, is director, aud Mr R. J. St. Aubyn, R.N.j is secretary. It is proposed to take four balls in different parts of London, each capable of accommodating 800 persons, and to hold a course of six lectures on consecutive nigh's of one week in each kal'. The lecturers will be paid, and will speak of the country with which they are personally acquainted, and the eclurcs' will be illustrated by views. The <u!ji'Cts proposed are—Australia (South and vVtst), Canada, G.ipe of tiaid Dope, New South Wales, New Zealand, United States, Queensj l,uid, an'l Victoria, Should the lectures be sue- ' oessful thty will bo repeated in the large towns.
