Auckland, Friday.

The arrangements for tho next Oalifornian mails are as follows :-The 'City of Adelaide' is due in Auckland about 'the 20th with mails ex' Mikado,' which proceeds to Sydney to be docked in consequence of grounding at Honolulu. The 'City of Adelaide' goes South and returns to Auckland about the 6th proceeding direct to about tho Bth of July. The'' Macgregor,' which has been thoroughly repaired, will, arrive here

direct from Sydney about the 4th of July, and leaves on the 6tli with-the outward mails, &c, brought from the South by the ' City of Adelaide' to bo transhipped at Kandavu into the ' Mikado' for San Francisco. Tho ' Macgregor. returns to Auckland about the 18th July with mails ex' Cyphrenes,' and proceeds South. On returning she leaves Auckland on the 3rd of August for the through run for San Francisco.

In the Provincial Council- to-day, Mr Swanson moved, and it was carried, that the report of the Select Committee on the old Supreme Court site be adopted.—

little gold in a leader to-day.—The Eoyal Oak gofc'2slbs of specimens from a shot of gold just reached in a leader one foot wide, and took out gold in another part on the same leader. 62 tons of quartz have been sent to the battery, and more will be forwarded on Monday.—The Tokateaf got a few pounds of specimens from theßismarek level, and a little gold from the No. 2 pass. -The Harbour Yiew have 60lbs of specimens and picked stone from No. 2 level.
