Minnie Garlick, one of the ' Woodlark's immigrants, was charged at the Police Court to-day with infanticide, and committed for trial.—The nomination for Franklin took place to-day. Messrs Goodfellow, Woodward, May, Dargaville, and Troup were proposed. The show of hands resulted as follows :-Goodfellow, 16; Woodward, 12; Dargaville 3; May, 8; Troup, 2. The poll will be" taken on April. 9th. — Sharomarket:— National Bank, 645; South; British, 475, 6ii„; National Insurance, 30; Exchange, 9s; Waitemata,ss; Queen of the May, 10s 9d; OldWhau, £7 125; Cure, 3s 6d.
