The athletic sports which had to he postponed to-day on account of the inclement weather will he held in Pukekura Park on Saturday next, October 30, when the complete programme as previously advertised will bo held. At the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court on Friday a fireman on the steamer Leitrim was charged with stealing a carcass of lamb, valued at 30s, the property of the Federal Steam Navigation Company. Ho pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, wtih hard labour.
