POOR AUSTRALIAN FORM. SYDNEY Oct. 24^ A try out match in view of the forthcoming visit of tho English cricketers was held yesterday between the teams captained by Cullins and Macartney. Rain interfered with play in the middle of the afternoon, but on the whole the display was poor, showing that many players were short of practice. Collins' team lost seven wickets for 159, Kcllewny, Collins, and Barnsley all going out for “ducks.” J. M. Gregory had to be content with two runs . Tho onlv batsmen who showed form wore Tayfor 95 not out, and Oldfield 51 not out. Hondry took three wickets for 15 runs, and Dr. Tronerry lour wickets for 46 runs.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
