POLISH RATIFICATION
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. WARSAW, Oct. 23. The Diet has unanimously ratified the Treaty of Riga. The Marshal of the Diet said Poland was endeavouring to settle the frontier to the mutual interests of Russia and Poland. The conditions were not dependent on the military situation. Poland was not taking advantage of her last conquest, and did not impose on Russia a peace at variance with jus-tice.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. PRELIMINARY TREATY ACCEPTED. (Received Oct. 25, 11.10 a.m.} LONDON, Oot. 24. A Moscow wireless message states that the All Russia Central Executive lias ratified the preliminary treaty with Poland. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. TROOPS DIVERTED SOUTH. NEW YORK, Oct. 23. Information has been received m official circles indicating that the Bolsheviks are transferring some of their best troops from the Polish front to South Russia,. for a new offensive against Wrangel in an effort to exterminate his forces. It is expected that before next spring Wrangel and the Bolsheviks will be engaged in a life and death struggle.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
