WAGES DEMANDS IN BRITAIN* By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. LONDON, Aug. 19. A crisis is threatened in tne merchant service. Officers, engineers, stokers, and seamen urge increased wages, and assert that the shipowners persistently delayed consideration of their claims.
