AUSTRALIA INVESTIGATING. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 22. Mr. Massey to-day received a cablegram from Mr. Cockayne, the Agricultural Department’s officer who is in Australia investigating the: matter of the potato embargo, stating that Mr. Hughes agreed to send an oxnert to Now Zealand, and if the expert reports favourably the embargo will bo removed. [For some time the export of potatoes to Australia has been prohibited, because it was alleged the crops were infected with pest. This the growers denied, and Mr. Cockayne and Mr. Buxton (representing the growers) were sent to Australia.]
