DEATH THROUGH A FADE. Per Press Association. , PAHIATUA, Aug. 23. A man. named William Hillson, aged 47, formerly a resident of Shannon, was killed on Saturday. evening through a ■fall from a butcher’s cart. TWO MISHAPS NEAR DUNEDIN. DUNEDJN, Aug. 22. On Saturday, Arthur J. Fulton, 24, a bushman, met with an accident at Tahakapa, when a tree fell on him fracturing his loft ankle. He was brought to Dunedin Hospital for treatment. John Archibald, 40, a coalminer, residing at Lovell’s Flat, was crushed by a fa 1 d of coal in Dunlop’s mine at Lovell’s Flat on Saturday. His back is badly injured, and his left leg badly bruised. Ho was taken to hospital.at Dunedin, and his condition is serious. RAILWAY PORTER KILLED. AVELLINGTON, August 23 Herbert Mole, aged 20,_ a junior porter at the Thorndon railway station, slipped .while trying to close a carriage platform gate and fell onto the lino. Two carriages passed over him and he was killed instantly.
