At Douglas on 9th the market Showed little change compared with sales just previous. Cattle if anything were inclined to be a shade easier. Sheep of good quality sold readily. Hoggets 23s 9d, 28s 6d to 29s 6d, ewes in lamb 21s 6d, 345, 4 and 6-tooth wethers 29s 2d to 345, store cows £3 12s 6d, £6 7s 6d, £6 10s to £7 2s 6d, bull £3 15s. Mixed yearling heifers £2 9d, £3 2s 6d, £3 10s to £4, yearling steers £2 9s, empty heifers £6 12s to £7, empty Jersey do £8 4s, springing heifers £12.105, £l4, to £l6 10s, dairy cows £l2 10s, £lB iOs to £2O. At Addington market there were big yardings of all classes of stock to-day, particularly of fat sheep and store cattle, and values in these showed an easing compared with recent sales. Store Sheep.—A medium entry, including linos from outside the province. Fat Cattle.—A slightly, larger yarding, and a firm sale throughout for all prime sorts. Extra prime steers realised from £37 to £46 10s, prime steers £26 10s to £32 10s, medium steers £lB to £26, prime heifers £lB 10s to £25 10s, medium heifers £l2 to £lB, prime cows £lB 10s to £2l 10s, ordinary cows £l2 to £l6 ss, light and unfinished cows £9 7s 6d to £lO 10s.

Fat Sheep.—An overflow yarding, which graziers assisted to clear. Values were down about os to 7s per head compared with the last sales. The close of the sale was firmer than the opening. Extra prime wethers 63s to 665, prime wethers 42s 6d to 49s 6d ; medium wethers 37s 6d to 41s 6d, light and unfinished 33s 3d to 375, prime ewes 38s to 455, medium owes 30s to 365, light and unfinished 22s 6d to 295, prime hoggets 31s to 435. ordinary hoggets 24s to 235. ©Vcalers.—A keen inquiry. Runners made to £9 17s fid, good vealers to £7 ss, medium calves £4 7s 6d, inferior 355.

Store Cattle.—A big yarding, but prices wore firm. Two-year-old heifers £6 15s to £7 7s 6d, two-year-old steers' to £B, 18-month-old steers and heifers £5 to £5 10s, 3 and 4-year-old steers to £l4, store cows (good) £6 to £9. Dairy Cows.—Values declined on recent sales, though good springing sorts sold at satisfactory values. Second calvers £24 6s Od, second and third carters £l9, medium cows £lO to £l2. Pat Pigs.—A particularly keen demand. Choppers £8 to £lO as, light baooners £6 10s to £7 ss, heavy baoonors £7 15s to £8 10s, extra heavy baconors to £9 (average price per lb. Is OJd to Is 13), porkers £4 10s to £5 ss, heavy porkers £5 15s to £6 5s (average price per lb. Is 2d to Is 3d). Store Pigs.—A good entry and a strong demand. Large stores £3 18s to £5 2s 6d, medium stores £3 4s to £3 16s, small stores £2 12s to £3 2s, weanors 35s to 42s 6d, sows in pig £l4 10s.
