The Hastings Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution of sympathy with the suggestion for a national condelegates of Labour, agricultural, conftnercial, educational and professional unions to abate industrial unrest, but believed the proposal unwieldy and that it would not yield the results anticipated. It suggested local conferences as a preliminary, from which delegates should be appointed to a national gathering.
